Congratulations to our 2016 OPHC Champions and APHA Zone 11 Exhibitors:

Veronika Franchetto and The Revolution, and Julia Laverdure and The Butler Did It attended all 2016 Ontario Paint Horse Shows. They had an amazing season, Veronika and The Revolution took home Grand Champion in Novice Western Pleasure, Grand Champion in Amateur Western Pleasure and Reserve Champion in Open Western Pleasure. Julia Laverdure and The Butler Did It walked away with Reserve Champion Novice Western Pleasure and Reserve Champion Tobiano Colour.

On the APHA side of things, both competitors made significant achievements placing in the top five in APHA Zone 11, which covers New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec. Veronika Franchetto came in 3rd and Julia Laverdure came in 5th place.

At the APHA shows a competitor can accumulate points toward a Register of Merit or ROM for short. The purpose of the ROM is to establish a record of excellence. Horses are advanced to the Registry when they have won a least 10 points in the scale of points for classes in anyone open event.

We are pleased to say that “The Revolution” obtained his second ROM, and his son “The Butler Did It” achieved his first ROM in Novice Western Pleasure.
